REBRANDING PROJECT
CONTEXT
Red Cat Records is a well-loved independent record store located at 4386 Main Street, Vancouver, BC. Inside, you’ll find a carefully curated mix of new and used vinyl LPs, CDs, turntables, and accessories, along with local concert tickets. Over the years, it has earned a strong reputation, even being voted one of the top ten indie stores in Canada by CBC Searchlight.
The store’s name pays tribute to Buddy the Cat, the resident feline who became a local legend until his passing in 2006, inspiring Ry Cooder’s concept album "My Name Is Buddy". Known for its welcoming atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and community feel, Red Cat has become both a destination for collectors and a gathering place for music lovers in Vancouver.
